Updated: Feb 17, 2022

In a social and cultural world that has multiple, simultaneous complexities, what role might a socially engaged artist play in confronting these challenges, and what obstacles might they have to negotiate?

Join the Cad Factory’s Artistic Director Vic McEwan and artists Harriet Body, Sarah Penicka-Smith, Diane Busuttil and Sunita Bala to share their thinking around socially engaged arts practice and the complexity and challenges faced by placing yourself in situations where there are no lines marked along your creative road.

What is CASE Incubator? It's a Contemporary Art Socially Engaged (CASE) Incubator, hosted by The Cad Factory, it's a professional development, knowledge sharing and mentorship program aimed at socially engaged artists who are seeking to develop their practice, engage with their peers, create networking opportunities with diverse partners, and contribute back to the sector. The first year recipients are Sunita Bala, Harriet Body, Diane Busuttil and Sarah Penicka-Smith.
